I think that we, as people... business owners... marketers, and the like, quite often overlook the simple elegance of a Christmas ornament.A Christmas ornament is nothing more than an (for lack of a better word) ornamental ball.
I mean... seriously... it's just a ball... and if you've seen one ball, you've seen 'em all. (Am I right folks!? {Side note, I've ALWAYS wanted to use 'am I right folks' in context... })
Websters dictionary's 2nd and 3rd definition of "ornament" is described as:
2 a : something that lends grace or beauty
3: one whose virtues or graces add luster to a place or society
I love Webster's poetic taste...
"Something that lends grace or beauty"
Imagine, if you would, a Christmas without all of the glitz and glamor that you're used to.
Take a house without lights... without the gaudy lawn decorations that your neighbors picked up fro Walgreens and stuck in their yard... without what we've come to know as the "true Spirit of Christmas" (you know, besides the whole "Jesus" thing... [remember: Jesus is the Reason for the Season {insert your own sweet Church Christmas line}]) <--(dude... check out how many of those things I used... wow... I'm impressive...............)
Or imagine, dare you, a bald Christmas tree:
Not as pretty... (unless you're someone who really digs nature, of course)
Anyway... I say this to simply say: take notice of these things this year. Notice how something so simple as tiny ball can make even the most ordinary thing become truly extraordinary.
Take it a step further even, make a truly breath-taking gift for your people...whether they are your clients, club or church members, staff even your family... you know... the people, who without, you would not have a proverbial leg to proverbially stand on.
Christmas ornaments come in many sizes, made from many materials... and in some cases, different shapes!
Today you can find amazingly stunning Gold-plated, cut-out ornaments, elegantly classy Crystal ornaments, traditional Glass ornaments, and of course, the lesser expensive Acrylic ornaments.
All of them, with an effective design can be one of the items that truly sets your organization apart from everyone else this holiday season! (not to mention, makes an INCREDIBLE marketing tool when you print special promotions onto them for your holiday sale!)
